The National Job Bank is a web-site developed specifically for job seekers, employers and employment specialists. Created by executive recruiters and designed to bring those seeking employment and those looking for the best employees available together in one forum. We encourage you to search for resumes, post your resume, post a job listing or contact any of our participants directly.

We (my partner and I who are executive recruiters who both run a desk) began NJB on November 1, 1997 as a place to post our job orders on the internet. We wanted an internet presence so we started NJB not knowing what we were in for.

It quickly became apparent that with just a few job orders we were not going to set the internet on fire! So we open NJB to the public as a free site. Soon there were other recruiters and employers posting their jobs and looking for resume on NJB.

Early on we did not have resumes posted on NJB, it stared as jobs only! Somewhere along the way we caught on and added the resumes!!!

The goal was to create an internet recruiting site that was inexpensive for all to use. We use the “big” sites, they are expensive! Last year we paid $8,500 plus the cost of ads beyond our contract. That is a lot of money! We believe we can do what they do inexpensively.

We have never advertised, all of you have found us somehow and referred us to others. Thank you! Currently there are over seven thousand recruiters and employers participating and about ninety thousand resume on file.

The site remained entirely free until May 2009. At that time we decided to start charging a nominal fee, with the income to be used to help expand the site. Applicants can still post their resume free. As a thank you to employers and recruiters who became members of NJB before May 2009, we still offer them free job posting and a reduced fee of $29.00 per year which allows them to search our data base for resumes. New members are charged a fee of $125.00 per year.

NJB is a very active site, and it still amazes me that all of you have found us! I hope you find NJB easy to use and you are successful in all your searches.
